Organ transplantation is death?

    • Of 4 main arteries, only the 2 carotids are clamped off when EEG brain death is diagnosed? Especially since Art. vertebralis still supplies the brain? In order to start organ transplantation, all other organs must still be well supplied with blood = heart activity of the donor.
    • only pain reducer during the opening if the thorax + the cutout of lungs, heard, liver … (no anaesthetica)
    • Different surgical methodologies worldwide around an already diagnosed brain death (cortex-EEG = external measurement of brain activity on the cerebral cortex (not in the thalamus / bar / speech center = capsula interna)….?
    • The brain goes into a state of sleep (reduced metabolism / shuts down) = in children it recovers particularly quickly even with hypothermia
    • for living organs (active metabolism) the patients are not dead, are they?
    • In Austria, simple organ removal – if not previously stated in the ID card / in writing not to donate organs.
